Hello! - We are Chris and Jenny Moore. We live in the beautiful Lake District with our daughter and spend as much of our free time as possible climbing, walking, canyoning and exploring our favourite place! When not here we head further afield for adventures in Scotland, Wales or the Peak District with occasional forays to Europe and beyond! We feel very privileged to live where we do, and started MooreMountaineering to allow us to share time and experiences in the fantastic outdoor world with others.
I love climbing! I've been at it for over 25 years and I just can't get enough of it. Brought up in the Lake District where I "learnt the ropes", I have since climbed extensively throughout the UK and abroad. From big wall climbing in Yosemite, adventurous new route expeditions to uninhabited areas of Greenland, tackling remote mountaineering routes in New Zealand, taking a beasting in savage scottish winters or simply enjoying the pleadures of mountain cragging - I have dedicating myself to climbing as my primary passion and driving force for adventure in my life. i have reached some personal highs of Trad E7, onsight new routing E5, Sport F7c+ and Winter VIII. There are loads of great aspects to climbing but generally for me it boils down to having fun in amazing places with great people. This ethos extends to mountaineering, walking, canyoning, caving, canoeing and loads more! I love to share my passion and knowledge for mountain adventures with folk which is why I feel so privileged to work as a Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor, sharing fantastic days out with psyched people. Alongside spending time in the hills I also work as a Paramedic with the North West Ambulance Service.

I am a lover of all things outdoors, in particular climbing and swimming. Growing up in the Lake District with active and outdoor loving parents meant I have always been exposed to the sense of adventure and resultant joy, resiliance and peace the outdoors can bring. This has stayed with me throughout my life and now bringing up our daughter with a similiarly adventurous spirit, I love sharing my knowledge, passion and excitment for adventures with others! Whilst I choose to pursue climbing as a hobby predominantly and enjoy joining friends for exciting days in the hills and crags, as a qualified Rock Climbing Instructor I might also be involved in taking you out on the crag for a climbing adventure! If Chris is out Im likely to be the person behind an email exchange and I'm always happy to help with info or recommendations.
Qualifications: Rock Climbing Instructor. Open Water Level 3.
